The Last Days of Dr. Wiley

I love this video!

Thoughts On Street Fighter

So, I recently watched Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. I wasn't expecting a great movie, but I was still a bit disapointed. I guess I was expecting it to be more epic, kind of like the series. As far as plot goes, the two actually have nothing to do with each other. Unlike the series, the movie has Ryu wandering from town to town, while Bison kidnaps Ken and brainwasshes him to work for Shadowlaw. Chun- Li, who works for Interpol, seeks the help of Guile to take down Bison and Shadowlaw. It is never explained why Ryu is drifting around, but they manage to reference it from time to time as if it's supposed to be important. They also introduce characters like Blanka, Cammy White, Dhalsim, Zangief, Thunder Hawk and Dee Jay just to see them fight for a minute and then you never see them again for the rest of the movie.

Aside from my problems with the plot, the animation is great, the soundtrack is awesome, and the fight scenes are pretty cool. The best scene in the whole movie is the fight between Chun- Li and Vega in New York.

I still have my wishlist of fights I would have loved to see:

1. Blanka Vs. Cammy White in an airport

2. Dee Jay Vs. Zangief in a casino

3. Chun- Li Vs. Bison on Bison's aircraft

4. Guile and Honda Vs. Balrog at a chinese restaurant

5. Ken and Ryu Vs. Blank and Vega on a cruise ship

The list goes on, but I think you get the idea.

Thanks!

Mom: Hey, I didnt mean to wake you from your nap, but I was wondering if you wanted me to heat up some fish. I also bought some fresh bagels for you if you're still hungry.

This one of the reasons I'm glad I still live at home. Thanks, mom!

Asian Kung- Fu Generation

This is a really great Japanese rock band that I like. Their videos are pretty awesome.

Here are two videos of theirs that I really enjoy. Rewrite is on the Fullmetal Alchemist soundtrack, and Loop & Loop always gets me in a good mood.

I have friends. They are hilarious.

If you scroll down, you'll see the links to some blogs that my friends have. I enjoy reading them very much, and I'm sure you will too.

I Must Vent

I hate hecklers so much, you guys! If anyone reading this decides "I'm going to go to a comedy show. I wonder how I should conduct myself." Here is what you do:

1. You pay for your ticket
2. You sit in your seat
3. If the show you're about to see is improvised in any way, and they ask for a suggestion, and you give them one, don't say anything else!
3b. The suggestion should not be "Do something funny" or "make me laugh" or something obnoxious of that nature.
4. You shut the fuck up. I dont care if you dont think its funny. Dont talk. Its that simple.

So, please support comedy and please be respectful to you performers.

Thank you.

Ow! Fuck!

I hate my alarm clock so much. Today I had to wake up at 6:30 for a video shoot, and my alarm clock was like "Nope. You're waking up at 9:00 instead." Thanks alarm clock.

I also woke myself up from my nap by pulling a musscle in my leg. Fuck, that hurts! Gah!

My Old Man

I went to Nights of our Lives at UCB tonight. The theme this month was stories about our dads. This made me think of some stories about my dad. Here's one:

Dad is in the hospital after having hernia surgery. I walk into his room.

Me: Hey, Dad.

Dad: Hey, kiddo.

(Silence for ten minutes)

Dad: Hey, you wanna see something cool?

Me: (Hesitantly) Sure.

Dad: They put this epidural in my spine, so if I'm in pain, I can have all the morphine I want. All I have to do is press this button, but I cant do it too often. I just had some before you walked in. Let me see if I can get some more.

(He grabs the button by his bed and presses it. Nothing happens.)

Dad: Oh, well. Relief denied.

Ho Hum

Today I had lunch at Old Town Bar on 18th & park ave south. Then I went to Virgin Megastore and bought Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie (not that piece of shit live action film with Jean Claude Van Dam), and then to Duane Reade to get some shampoo.
